Slieve Bloom Bike Festival – 25th and 26th April 2026

The Slieve Bloom Bike Festival is a two-day off-road cycling event in the spectacular Slieve Bloom Mountains, nestled in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and kindly supported by Failte Ireland.

Spanning the County Offaly and Laois border in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, the trails offer over 100km of exciting biking on fast and flowing single track trails. The festival is Ireland’s premier off-road cycling endurance event which features the ‘Gravel Ride Series’ on Saturday and the ‘Coillte Biking Blitz’ competition Sunday, plus the Big Bike Movie Night and Live Music on Saturday night.

The ‘Gravel Ride Series’ or GRS is a collective of epic one-day gravel rides in Ireland, designed with adventure in mind and guaranteed to leave lasting memories. This is not just another race.

The ‘Coillte Biking Blitz’ is a mass start cross-country mountain bike event, aimed primarily at beginners but with something for everyone. There are three categories for adults to choose from: Novice, E-Bike or Expert, plus youth events for 6-year-olds and up. All events in the Biking Blitz must be entered for online in advance, it is pre-entry only. In addition to the opportunities to experience these mountain bike trails, there will be great social events on offer.
